FLL Team 39705 Gator-Rads and Team 66277 Electric Technic competed against other Arkansas teams to see who would advance to the FIRST Championship in Houston, TX as well as a few slots to invitationals. This event was held in the Verizon Ballroom in the Union on the University of Arkansas Campus.

The teams started their morning off by setting up their pits with the tri-fold boards and models of their innovation projects before getting in some last minute judge practice. The Gator-Rads went into judging first and then Electric Technic in the next judging slot in the room right next door. Both teams came out excited and feeling confident!
Gator-Rads completed their first match right before lunch which we walked to the Eureka Pizza on campus for. Since we didn't have an matches right after the lunch break, we gave the students the option to go through the Mechanical Engineering Building and Bell Engineering Building with Ms. Natalie or they could go back to the ballroom to use the robot practice tables. About half the student took Ms. Natalie up on her offer and the other half went back with Mr. Gray.

After the lunch break, robot matches resumes and the students went between the matches, practice table, and snack bucket for the rest of the day until all five matches were complete. Both teams continued to improve and kept topping their best scores. After our last matches, we made sure to grab our medals and take a few group pictures before taking down our pits and preparing for the awards ceremony.

Thank you to the amazing volunteers including but not limited to the referees, judges, the people who reset the game tables, announcers, time keepers, and practice table keepers. Thank you to the University of Arkansas for hosting this event!
