Story
Get to Know Us
It is incredible how one small idea can grow into something truly special. Starting in 2019, the first iteration of the TEK Center was created as the Springdale Robotics Center with a mission to allow students to explore robotics without financial pressure. It fulfilled this mission for three years before being destroyed in a tornado in 2022.
In 2023 after bouncing around between temporary spaces, we found a new permanent home which allowed us to expand our mission so students can explore robotics and STEAM without having to worry about external pressures.
Our Philosophy
The Technology & Engineering Knowledge Center is rooted in the belief that STEAM is an integral part of today's world and should be explored. Every student should have the opportunity to explore STEAM regardless of gender, race, or financial situation. We seek to support, empower, and teach STEAM to the NWA community.
Our Team
Our volunteer staff consists of a small but dedicated group of FIRST® alumni, University of Arkansas College of Engineering graduates, and students with decades of combined experience in robotics and engineering.
