We are half way through the FTC competition season! On Saturday, FTC Team 8373 Diva Force competed at the Bentonville Bash tournament with 23 teams. For quite a few of the teams competing, this was their first event of the season. It was a great time competing and helping out rookie teams.
FTC Team 8373 started their event the night before by transporting their practice field and FTC Team 7209 Tech Hogs Robotics' practice field to the event. Since the event had a much larger turn out than anticipated (a good problem to have), we offered our field as the second competition field and Tech Hogs Robotics offered theirs as a practice field. We were able to get both fields set up as well as our pit before calling it a night.
The next morning, we began with robot inspection were we meet a small bump in the road. After setting up the pit the night before, they forgot to charge their driver station, so they were unable to finish inspection until the driver station was charged a little bit. Not to fear, the team did pass inspection!
After inspection, the team had a bit of down time to be able to practice for their judging interview which the completed and knocked out of the park! Matches started right after lunch and they won 4 out of their 6 matches putting them in 10th place at the end of qualification matches. During the playoff alliance selection, Diva Force was bumped to the captain of the 6th alliance and selected MPV StingerBots to join their alliance!

The awards ceremony was integrated into the playoff matches. Diva Force won the Inspire Award, which is the highest award in FTC!
